Virtual Mirrors

VML is a Glasgow based clothing company that was set up in 2000 to create the technology to provide women (and later men) with custom clothing at prices that were no more (and preferably less) than for equivalent sized clothing.

The technology took eight years to develop but is now ready for mass use in the market.

The eight years of work has been funded by private individuals supplemented by investment from the Scottish Enterprise and a series of grants from the Scottish Executive.

VML was the only EU company to have won the Forrester Research Emerging Technology Showcase in America. Each year Forrester select what they think are the 20- 25 most interesting new technologies, who then compete for the award. When VML won the award in December 2004 its competition included a number of well know technology companies including Adobe.
